Potassium Hydroxide is an odorless, white, or slightly yellow, flaky, or lumpy substance that is frequently seen in aqueous solutions. It's used in soap, alkaline batteries, electroplating, lithography, and paint and varnish removers, among other things. A product's pH might damage the fragile skin mantle barrier if it's too acidic or too basic. Potassium Hydroxide is used to regulate pH, stabilize foods, and thicken them. The major purpose of this chemical in cosmetics and skincare is to keep the pH of the product stable.
